The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is now available in Singapore as part of a limited-time bundle with an SPH news subscription, offering savings of more than S$830.
How the bundle works
The promotion pairs the 512GB version of the foldable smartphone with a 24-month digital subscription to either The Straits Times or The Business Times. The total cost is S$2,684.02, payable through Grab in two ways: upfront or in monthly installments.
Both payment options lead to the same final price. The bundle includes only the phone and subscription—no additional hardware or accessories.
Where the savings come from
The Galaxy Z Fold8 retails for S$2,798 on its own. A standard 24-month digital subscription to The Straits Times costs S$717.60 (S$29.90 per month), bringing the combined retail price to S$3,515.60. The bundle undercuts that by S$831.58.
For The Business Times, which charges S$32.90 per month, the savings increase to over S$900. The bundled price remains the same regardless of the newspaper chosen.
The promotion also allows subscribers to access their accounts across four devices, a feature not typically included in standard plans.

Who can get it—and what’s included
The deal is open to both new and existing subscribers. Existing subscribers may face a one-time transition fee, depending on their current plan. The offer is valid only for the 512GB model in three color options: Lavender, Graphite, and Cream. A fourth color, Pistachio, is excluded from the promotion.
The subscription covers digital access only. A separate fee of S$3 to S$5 applies for physical newspaper delivery, depending on the subscriber’s residential type.
What happens after 24 months
If the bundle is paid through Grab’s PayLater option, the subscription ends automatically after the 24-month term. For those who pay directly through SPH’s system, the subscription renews automatically with 30 days’ notice. Early termination or missed payments may incur fees, and refunds are not offered.
For now, the promotion is limited to the Galaxy Z Fold8. Other Samsung smartphones, storage variants, or SPH publications—including HardwareZone, which is free—are not part of the deal.
